Built on two complementary strengths, SPT Vilecon brings together deep technical expertise and hands-on development for the MedTech industry.
The story began with Scandinavian Plastic Technology, and VILECON, two foundations with different but closely connected capabilities that were later brought together under one name.
Since the original journey began in 2011, and with SPT Vilecon A/S formally established in 2015, the company has grown into a full-service MedTech partner working across concept development, design, construction, manufacturing, and production.
SPT Vilecon was built on two complementary strengths.
SPT reflected a strong technical and production-focused foundation, while VILECON represented development, construction, and the drive to turn ideas into real solutions.
The journey began with a clear ambition: to support medical and pharmaceutical companies with more than individual services.
From the start, the focus was on combining specialist knowledge, close collaboration, and practical execution across the development process.
The name reflects both origin and direction. SPT stands for Scandinavian Plastic Technology, while Vilecon combines a symbolic reference to Vile with “CON” as a reference to construction, full-scale production, and supply chain.
Together, the name expresses knowledge, movement, and the ability to turn ideas into reality.
One Company, One Stronger Offer
By bringing SPT and VILECON together, the company created a stronger and more complete MedTech offering.
Development, construction, and production capabilities were united in one setup designed to support customers from concept to finished solution.
SPT Vilecon relocated from Hillerød to Baldersbuen in Hedehusene, creating significantly more space and opening up new opportunities for growth, development, and expansion in a positive direction.
Lumio, previously called Foenix, was a social media analytics company that helped brands like Audi, David Jones and Red Balloon source legitimate influencers for social media campaigns.
As the company grew, so did its in-house capabilities. Modern cleanroom facilities, injection moulding, automation, and dedicated assembly environments strengthened SPT Vilecon’s ability to deliver precision, quality, and flexibility for MedTech manufacturing.
A new phase of growth was marked by the expansion of cleanroom facilities to support silicone production and a larger, updated Electromechanics Lab.
The brand and website were also refreshed, while still reflecting the original logo and identity established with the merger in 2015.
The name "Relume" is born.
In 2026, SPT Vilecon marked 15 years of innovation, collaboration, and custom-built MedTech solutions.
The milestone reflects a journey shaped by technical expertise, strong partnerships, and a continued commitment to moving ideas into production-ready reality.
